Symposium and abstract submission deadline: 15th March, 2015

A) GENERAL INFORMATION

1. The number of speakers within each activity must be respected. The speakers shall be indicated in bold.

2. Abstract for the symposia or proposals for oral or poster presentations must be sent to the conference before the 15th March, 2015.

3. No symposia or abstract alteration can be made after the 15th March, 2015 at 11.59 pm.

4. The main presenter of the symposia or oral or poster presentations must be registered for the conference by 30th April, 2015.

5. The names of the speakers(s) shall appear preceded by the family name (i.e. Andrews, John).

6. It is assumed that by submitting the proposal, the speaker(s) accept(s) all these criteria. The resulting evaluation of the symposium or abstract by the Scientific Committee shall be final. The Organisation shall reject all the activities that do not adhere to the guidelines stated.

7. All notifications shall be communicated via email. It is therefore essential to provide a email address as well as a contact phone number of the person submitting or presenting the activity.

8. The acceptance or rejection of activities shall be notified to the authors via email by 30th April, 2015. At a later stage, the Technical Secretariat shall inform of day and time scheduled for the activity. The rules of presentation and planning details shall be included in said communication or future mails.

9. An e-mail address, full address and phone number (daytime and evening) is compulsory in order to receive information about the activity submitted on-line.

10. Abstracts shall be presented as Poster or Oral Presentations. The proposer shall select the format in which they wish to present their abstract at the time of submission through the online application system on the conference website. However, the Scientific Committee will decide the final format of the abstract (poster or oral).

11. Only those symposia and abstracts of each conference theme which are selected by the Scientific Committee shall be presented in public.

12. The official language of the Conference will be English. The Scientific Committee will assess the acceptance of symposia that will require simultaneous interpretation during the Conference. Symposia, oral and poster proposals will only be accepted in English.

B) CONTENTS AND ACTIVITY FORMAT

The submitted symposium or abstract shall contain the following information:

SPEAKER/S: Main speaker (presenter) of the activity and co-speakers. The names of the speaker and co- speaker (s) shall appear preceded by the family name (i.e. Andrews, John). Affiliation details must be included (Department, Institution/Hospital, City, State, Country..: example: Psychologist. Assertive Outreach Unit. Department of Psychiatry. Belgium.)

TITLE: concise, 30 words maximum in upper case. In lower-case letters (titles in capital letter shall not be accepted), in bold and only recognisable abbreviations are allowed.

CONTENTS OF SYMPOSIA:

1. The following aspects must be included for the symposium proposal:

Number of speaker(s): 4-6 speakers and 1 coordinator.

Duration: 90 minutes.

The Scientific Committee will assess the proposal in terms of quality, innovation and general interest.

2. Information to include with each symposium proposal:

Person submitting proposal:Name and surname, affiliation (work centre, city and country), address and email, telephone, etc.

Proposal summary: Summary of the symposia, including aims of the activity proposed and its scientific interest.

Title of symposium

Invited speakers: Name and surname, affiliation (work centre, city and country), address and email, telephone, etc.

Title of individual presentation

Abstract of individual presentation of symposium: background/objectives, methods, results, discussion/conclusion; key-words, first author, co-authors, e-mails.

3. Review carefully the work before submission.

4. Text length shall be 350 words per section (Word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are added). Single spaced and justified text. No blank line shall be left between paragraphs.

5. It is essential to indicate specialty, actual work position, work centre and location. If this data does not applied to all authors, it shall be specified as follows:
Example: (1) Thomas, George; (2) Cooper, Frank.; (3) Mills, Anna.
(1) Psychiatrist. Mental Health Unit Supervisor. London Intercommunity Health Center. London, United Kingdom; (2, 3) Nurse. The Mental Health Centre of Greater Manchester. United Kingdom.

6. In the body of the abstract, standardised abbreviations shall be used. When specific or unusual abbreviations are used, they shall appear in brackets after each complete term the first time they are used.

7. Symposium proposals will only be accepted in English.

CONTENTS OF ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATION:

1. The following sections must be included:

Introduction
Aims
Methods
Results
Conclusions

2. The abstract must be typed using Microsoft Word 95 or superior, Arial font 10-point.

3. Text length shall be 350 words (Word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are added). Single spaced and justified text. No blank line shall be left between paragraphs.

4. It is essential to indicate specialty, actual work position, work centre and location. If this data does not apply to all authors, it shall be specified as follows:
Example: (1) Thomas, George; (2) Cooper, Frank.; (3) Mills, Anna.

6. It is mandatory to select the format of presentation for the abstract when submitting, oral or poster. The Scientific Committee may alter it after proper evaluation.

7. Review carefully the work before submission.

8. Oral and poster proposals will only be accepted in English.

C) THEMATIC AREAS

1. Activities will be gathered in 4 conference themes for assessment and scheduling.

2. Speakers shall state the conference theme in which they would like to present their activities at the time of submission.

3. The Scientific Committee will always try to respect the speaker's choice of thematic area. However, this is subject to change in order to achieve a balanced scientific programme.

D) SUBMISSION PROCEDURES

OPTION A: Online submission (recommended)

Proposals shall be sent via the official conference website: www.enmeshmalaga2015.com following the guidelines detailed within the scientific area section.

OPTION B: E-mail

Proposals shall be sent as an attached doc, MS-WORD file, according to the format above stated (section B), to: [email protected]

For email submission, the use of a template is compulsory. This template is downloadable this template from the Conference website. Those proposals not following the template will be rejected.

For any enquiry related to the submission of activities through the website, please contact the Technical Secretariat [email protected] identifying the subject by 'Information Activities ENMESH International Conference'.

No proposals submitted by fax or postal mail shall be accepted.

The Technical Secretariat shall always send a confirmation receipt of the activity submitted where the designated reference number shall appear.

E) PRESENTATION OF THE ACTIVITY

SYMPOSIUM

1. Time for presentation: 90 minutes (4-6 presentations) + 15 minutes for open discussion with the audience.

2. Presentation: Windows PowerPoint Projection.

3. Material: CD ROM or USB Memory. It must be submitted at the designated area (which shall be detailed on the conference programme) at least 4 hours before the presentation. In the case the presentation is scheduled for the start of the following day, they must be submitted the previous day although we recommend doing it just after collecting your credentials at the Registration Desk. Presentations using personal laptops are not permitted.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

1. Time for presentation: 10 minutes, plus 2 minutes for comments and discussion.

2. Presentation: Windows PowerPoint Projection.

3. Material: CD ROM or USB Memory. It must be submitted at the designated area (which shall be detailed on the conference programme) at least 4 hours before the presentation. In the case the presentation is scheduled for the start of the following day, they must be submitted the previous day although we recommend doing it just after collecting your credentials at the Registration Desk. Presentations using personal laptops are not permitted.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

1. Presentation time: 5 minutes, plus 2 minutes for discussion and questions.

2. Presentation: A Virtual Poster Exhibition Area will be arranged from the first day of the conference. The use of the official poster template will be optional (templates will soon be made available on the website).

3. Once the abstract is accepted by the Committee, the guidelines to create the poster as well as for its uploading to the website shall be sent to the main author.

F) AWARDS

The Organising Committee has established several awards that shall be granted by the Scientific Committee.
